A Painting really worth a thousand words, let us think!

They say "A painting is worth a thousand words", but does it precisely say which words? Lets analyze.
Some paintings are replicas of the happenings around us whereas some others are exact and precise for eg. portraits of people. Some paintings are of the identities of some great people while others are of some ordinary people doing great things. Some paintings are abstract and their interpretation is left to the reader.
In all the above paintings, you must have realized how broad the nature of classification is and the depth of the matter would be quite clear now. But what I want to emphasize is that when someone looks at a painting a plethora of ideas strike his mind and they run in wayward direction and there is no itinerary to them. The idea which the painter wanted to convey might be lost in this crowd of ideas that storms your mind. Besides, the minor subtleties and beauties are only noted by a few savants of the field and others are ignorant of them, for, as Sherlock would say "You see but you don't observe".
When a narration of the painting is given by the creator, it's worth the speech as it justifies the content which he wishes to convey. But then, some people think of it as an attempt of the creator to condescend them and they are not able to savour the essence of the painting owing to this prejudice. That's the reason why books or written format or words to be general are more elucidative as they paint a perfect picture, the one which everyone sees alike, everyone gets a chance to view the larger scene meticulously with its hidden subtleties.
Thus, although a painting is worth a thousand words is true, the question of which words it conveys remains a mystery and that denies the demos, the right to view the painting in the way it is meant to be (by the creator).
