But alas, it was just infatuation and the spark wasn't perpetual but momentary as the cheer-leader effect had exaggerated her figure by leaps and bounds that I wasn't able to compare in absolute terms.

Although jargons help understand the meaning of any aspect in a succinct manner, but in layman terms, they must be avoided as they don't help convey the meaning due to their lack of technical knowledge. Also, people tend to misunderstand these jargons which further baffles them more.

1. Archenemy/ Principal enemy.
In case of nemesis, commutativity does not hold good, rather its complement is true. The nemesis of your nemesis is a friend. Or to elucidate, if A is a nemesis of B and A is a nemesis of C, B and C aren't nemesis but friends; at least as long as A is their common nemesis.
2. A punishment or defeat that is deserved and cannot be avoided.
Kasab was given the nemesis which he deserved and our judicial system was appreciably prompt at giving the judgement, may it be due to pressure of people or due to self-realization but it was definitely righteous.

Enigmatic- Mysterious.
The use of enigmatic as an adjective to describe a smile made me wonder how Alan Turing as a child was never able to understand that people often said something else than what they meant and he was supposed to decipher it on his own. The thought of a smile being enigmatic is surreal to me and it was not until I read the Da Vinci Code that I got to think in this perspective. Thanks Dan Brown!
