The Art Of Man-Making

18.06.2016
Finding the root cause of the problem is essential. We tend to focus on the symptoms and try to find temporary RELIEF in order to avoid them. But we have to understand that Symptomatic treatment will give relief that is fast and immediate but does not guarantee elimination of the problem but just evades it temporarily. The same problem may relapse in future. But diagnosis of the root cause itself will give the proper cure which would be slow but lasting and promising.
Glorification of our problems leads us to avoid our dharma and seek escapism from it. This is what we should learn:-When Arjuna tried to give number of reasons to run away from the war when Krishna said "O partha, look at all these kurus.", as it uprooted all the feelings of Arjuna for his brothers, teachers, grandfather etc. and others on the field.
If Arjuna left the war, neither he nor his teachers would be proud of him. Although they were on opposite sides, they would want their disciple to practise what they preached him and if he did not do so, he would definitely lose the respect of his teachers. As for killing his teachers and grandparents is concerned he would be sad on having done that but he shall not feel guilty as he is defending righteousness.
